Bound volume containing notes on tenants holdings on the Duras estate, compiled by John Wilson Lynch, in connection with the fixing of rents. It gives the name of each holding and tenant, area, rent and valuation of holding, as well as observations on the lease. Major Lopdell, Raheen Park, Athenry, is recorded as the agent and E & G Stapleton as solicitors. Includes enclosures mainly relating to the setting of fair rents with John Corliss, Winifred Jordan, Michael Mahon, Patrick Keane, Barley Mullavel. Also a list of the sums [paid by Patrick M Lynch] for various lands, such as Killomoran bought from James Joyce and AH Lynch for £600; Gortskeagh £1050; Funshinmore £2000; Lissyegan £2000; Timadooaun near Dunmore £2000; house and plot in Market St. £1250; Belmont House from William King for £600; Nuns' Island Brewery and Mill £2000; house and offices Renmore Park £4000; and £2000 for Mrs. Stapleton's fortune (c.1850s-1860s]/ Size 210x330x50mm.
