Correspondence from the public to President Mary Robinson (MR), with some photocopies of responses, 1993, including letter from friend of woman who had attended Muckross Park School with MR's mother, with photograph of group of young men and women the friend though MR might like, 17-19/02/1993; cutting of obituary of Fred MacLochlainn, who had died suddenly in Brazil and whose mother had attended Irish classes with MR in Spiddal, Galway, with photocopy of condolence letter, 26/02/1993; photocopy of typed letter from Philip A Cooney, Garda [member of Irish police force] relating to article in Irish Press (24/04/1993) on the abduction of Sir Paget Bourke, Judge and uncle of MR, and informing MR that it was Cooney and a colleague who were on duty at a checkpoint at Ballyconnell, County Cavan the night of the abduction [April, 1975] who were responsible for his rescue, 25/05/1993; thank-you letter handwritten from David [?], Office of the Minister for Defence, thanking MR for flowers while he had been ill, 27/07/1993; typed letter and enclosed background material from Norman Mongan, relating to the Irish Diaspora and the wine industry in France, particularly that of Chateau La Houringue which was owned by a "Burck" in late 18th century until 1870, 03-14/12/1993.
