Correspondence and other material relating to gifts given and received, and presentations made in 1993 in connection with Mary Robinson (MR)'s presidency, including two copies of typed letters from Joseph Brennan, Deputy Secretary to the President, to children who were guests at a garden reception at Áras an Uachtaráin, thanking them for gifts given to MR: Mary O'Neill, Tomás O'Neill, Andrew O'Neill and Niamh Hughes, who gifted a map, to Tony McManus, who gave "timber gifts", and to several others who gifted flowers, a plaque, music cassettes, bone china and piece of gold from County (Co.) Tyrone, Northern Ireland, 07/07/1993; handwritten letter from Mr Paul Kyle, Belfast, Northern Ireland in relation to a tape of hymns composed by him and sung by cross-community choir "Come Lord Jesus", and complimenting MR on her work for all people in Ireland, North and South, with copy of typed reply from MR, 12-13/07/1993; copy of letter from Ann Lane (AL), Personal Assistant to the President, on behalf of MR, to Mr Eamon P Kelly, National Museum of Ireland, Dublin in relation to gift of his book "Early Celtic Art in Ireland", 24/08/1993; material relating to gifts presented by MR and Nicholas Robinson during their official visit to New Zealand and Hong Kong and the State visit to India, 02-08/09/1993; copy of letter from AL to Attic Press in relation to copies of "Irish Women's Studies Reader" by Ailbhe Smyth, sent by them to MR, 28/10/1993; compliment slip from Ms Mai Chen, Faculty of Law, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, and copy of typed response from MR relating to gift of book Chen co-authored with Sir Geoffrey Palmer, "Public Law in New Zealand", 15/10/1993; typed letter from Muireann de Róiste, Class Teacher, Coláiste Bhrógáin Naofa, in relation to a Christmas Card which had been hand made by the children of the Special Class [group of "Moderately Handicapped children"], and of how the class had been successfully integrated into the main school; booklet/catalogue for exhibition by Bartolomeu Dos Santos, "Gravura", touring 1992-[1993?].
