Correspondence mainly to President Mary Robinson (MR) from Peter Ryan (PR), Secretary to the President, including notes relating to her intention to write a book on her Somalia experience, and correspondence between PR and Frank Murray (FM), [Assistant Secretary to the Government], on advice the Government received after consultation with the Attorney General (AG), where the AG felt book would require the advice of the Government before it could be published, 14/10-17/11/1992; correspondence from Noel Dorr, Secretary Department of Foreign Affairs, to PR and FM, in relation to confusion surrounding the seating of the Irish Ambassador to Germany, Pádraig Murphy, at event during MR's visit, and coincidentally further problems with Mr Robinson being mis-seated at a later event the same visit, 07-10/12/1992; correspondence relating to the potential for the Dáil to be dissolved, protocols, procedures, and possible sequence of events, with photocopy of Taoiseach Albert Reynolds' resignation, and some photocopies of press articles, 27/01-14/12/1992; correspondence relating to MR's visit to Australia (22/10-04/11/1992) including an assessment of the visit sent by FM to PR, and a summation by PR, 01-15/12/1992.
