Letter from Thomas Ormsby (1807-1836), Dublin, grandson, to Thomas Ormsby of Ballinamore, Co. Mayo. In which he tells his grandfather that he began school at "... Mr. Hutton's on Summer Hill, last Monday week, I like it very well, there are eleven boarders and forty two day boys. My uncle and aunt Phibbs arrived here yesterday from England ... My uncle and aunt Elwood are in town ..." Includes a short letter from Anthony Ormsby to "Kitt" [his brother Christopher] in which he writes "I beg you will let us know how my father, mother and you all are ... Owen, Anne and Jane arrived on Saturday ... I have not got my deed as yet furnished as it must be signed by a number of Trenches ... They think everyone's business is to give way to theirs".
