Typed scripts and early drafts of the play The House of Pleasure by Carolyn Swift, with music by Jerome De Bromhead. Scripts are heavily annotated by hand by Carolyn Swift, with notes and edits to the play throughout. Four distinct drafts/items present.
File also includes letters between Agnes Bernelle and Carolyn Swift. Bernelle writes to Swift returning to her a copy of her script of The House of Pleasure and discusses how plays by women were being sought at the time [1976], response letter by Swift to Bernelle, thanking her, and adding comments about production of "The Swine and the Potwalloper" at Project Arts Centre, in which Bernelle starred. Swift mentions comments about the play, Jim Sheridan, and others involved. (5 Apr 1975).
