Plans are discussed for a summer revival on "The Beauty Queen" owing to the huge success of March run. Fax from John Costigan to Ciaran Walsh of Druid, stating urgency to make decision on booking at "Beauty Queen" was the "most successful play staged at the Gaiety Theatre since 1966 when Peter O'Toole appeared in "Juno and the Paycock". (8 Mar 2000); Further correspondence between the parties further the conversation regarding the July revival, the terms of publicity design, costs, casting, production schedule and related matters. Includes letter from Mike Diskin, Manager, Town Hall Theatre, Galway, regarding a rent increase for use of the theatre. (12 Oct 2000) Letter from Ciarán Walsh, Managing Director, Druid, to Vikki Heywood, Executive Director, The Royal Court, regarding follow-on points and actions from recent meeting about future revival of "Beauty Queen" with attached terms of co-production agreement made between Druid and the Royal Court.
