              File of six-inch Ordnance Survey maps of Clare from the 1915 and 1916 editions. There are 13 in total, sheet numbers: 1, 2, 3 & 3a, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 14 & 8a, 15, 16 and 17.

              The maps have been annotated by Tim Robinson with borders outlined in coloured ink, and notes in pencil. An indexing system used on the maps by Robinson corresponds with his field notebook (see P120/3/2/1/2).

              P120/3/31 (2) File relating to Salruck House and the Thompson papers, including handwritten transcription from a letter to Alex. Thompson from Rev Brabaron Ellis, 2 June 1836. A photocopy of the descriptive list of the Salruck Papers, compiled by Brigid Clesham, with accompanying letter to Tim from Brigid, dated 1997. The papers cover the period 1676 to 1904, and are held privately by Bowen Ormsby, see Irish Landed Estates Database for further information. Drawings copied from sketches by Fanny Bellingham, of General Thompson's boat in Little Killery Bay, 1850. A photograph of a portrait of Alexander Thomson, which hangs in Salruck House.               P120/3/33 (6) Copies of documents relating to Dónal Ó Fotharta (who had published a book of folk tales and songs from the Ballyconneely area in 1892). Photocopies of documents relating to Ó Fotharta, including transcription from the dedication in his book, and a photocopy of a section of his marriage certificate in 1888. There are also two letters from Diarmuid Breathnach (in Irish), dated 27 April 1994 and 16 August 1994 enclosing some photocopies, and the biography of Ó Fotharta he has written for 'Bheathaisnéis a 4.' Letter from Séan Ó Morónaigh, Stuírthóir An Comhlachas Náisiúnta Drámaíochta (Irish), 4 April 2000 thanking Tim for his permission to reproduce a section of his map, focusing on Callow near Ballyconneely in an article by Seosamh Í Cuaig on 'Playboy of the Western World', a copy of which is also enclosed. Photocopied article from 'Connemara News', July 1992 on the Roundstone Connection in 'The Playboy of the Western World'. A press cutting of Gregory Allen's 'An Irishman's Diary' on Synge's play. Press cuttings from the Connacht Tribune about the automation of Slyne Head's lighthouse (1989-1990). Copy of a forthcoming article in 'Éigse' by Tomás Ó Con Cheanainn on 'Sloinne agus áit ainm i gConnemara', referencing Robinson's work. Undated. These include a copy of a traced section showing the division of Errislannan between 4 heirs: Francis Burke, Anthony Skerret, John Lambert and Anthony Morris. A copy of an Irish Land Commission document dated 1 November 1928 relating to the Boar Harbour at Drimmeen, some handwritten notes. Photocopy of a conveyance to John Byrne Esq, the estate of Walter Burke, dated 3 June 1865. A copy of part of the Errislannan estate, curveyed in 1842.               P120/3/33 (4)Three letter/accounts, none signed but likely from Pamela Reid. one is addressed to Pat. She gives information about her grandparents, the Willcox's, Arthur Willcox and Marion Cozzens. (10 December 1995). Another piece talks about Lisnabrucka in 1935. These are rich reminiscences about their personal lives in the country, where as a child, her best friends were Brigid and Joe Nee. Brochures for Lough Inagh Lodge and Derryclare Fishery. A letter from Susan Prior to Mr Nee, 26 January 1998 who is enquiring about her grandfather, Sir William Arbuthnot Lane, a surgeon in London of Irish descent. Some photographs copied from 1930s ones of Glendalough and Inagh Lodge. Letter to Robinson from Phyllis K Jenkins enclosing notes on the Martins of Ross. Correspondence between Edward Bourke of Dublin and Tim Robinson, letter from Bourke dated 3 March 1988 seeking information on West coast shipwrecks and enclosing a portion of his notes, a copy of Robinson's response (undated), outlining information he has enclosed in his reply, and enquiring about the shipwreck in Inishbofin, commemorated by the placename 'Royal Oak Cove', which he has found references to in O'Donovan's Letters and in an article by M Redington in JGAHS. Letter from Bourke (undated) enclosing some photocopied information on the Royal and Lancaster regiment, but advising he has been unable to confirm that it was the Royal Oak.

              Three copies of a list of Burren Placenames. The first list is a handwritten draft with lots of notes. The second list is typed, and arranged into 3 columns that give the OS form of the place name, other known versions of the name, and the suggested Irish form. The third list is a carbon copy of the typed list and has several handwritten edits from Robinson and Micheál Ó Maolchaoine / Michael (Pop) Mulqueeny.

              Correspondence between Cian Ó Sé of the Cork Speleological Society and Robinson. Begins with a letter from Ó Sé commenting on some placenames, specifically Poll an Eidhneáin and Cairn Suí Finn, with some commentary on the local Munster Irish dialect of Clare. Copy reply from Robinson on Rath Bheag, Dabhach Bhrainin, Poll an Eidhneain, and Aille an Daill. Two letters from Ó Sé, one in Irish and one in English answering Robinson's queries, and enclosing a photocopy of a section of Robinson's 1977 map with annotation.
