Letter from 'The Independent' (English) asking Tim to contribute to their series entitled 'Second Thoughts' in which a writer reflects on the genesis of their work, ahead of the publication of 'Stones of Aran Pilgrimage'. The letter is dated 3 April 1990, and enclosed are copies of the piece Tim submitted in response. Piece entitled 'The History of Roundstone', with note saying Roundstone Festival, June 1990.               Copy letters from Tim Robinson to Proinsias Mac Aonghusa on a book the latter wishes to publish on the War of Independence in Connemara. (1986)

              Handwritten reminiscences from John Barlow, (Roundstone newsagent). The first is in Tim Robinson's handwriting, and is entitled 'Notes on War of Independence and Civil War from conversations with John Barlow', dated 18 March - 20 April 1986. It begins with the arrival of Black and Tans in Seana Chaolla, and ends with a story about Derrynasliggaun Lodge being occupied by the Irregulars during the War of Independence. Reminiscences include an account of the recruitment methods adopted during World War 1, 'A Bird's Eye View of the Anglo Irish and Civil Wars in Galway and Connemara', 'A Birds Eye View of the Civil War Years in Ireland 1922-1923'. An account of the Emergency Years in Ireland. Copies of orders in John Barlow's possession relating to licence duty, the O'Dowd family, guidelines on handling weapons issued to the LDF, and a newspaper story about Ernie O'Malley.

              Letter from Maura [Scannell] mentioning a specimen of heather near Cloonagat Lough that won the gold medal at Bundesgartenschau in Berlin in 1985, it was given the name Maura. A traced map outlining this area, and other surrounding areas where Erica MacKaiana was collected follows, and a photocopy of the diploma awarded with the medal (1990);

              Correspondence from Art Ó Maolfabhail, Ordnance Survey placenames department enclosing a list of Gaeltacht townlands in Co Galway (1986).

              Correspondence with Brian Ó Baoill of Údarás na Gaeltachta on Gaeltacht townlands and maps. Robinson questions discrepancies between list and map on particular townlands. Robinson writes of his preference to "preserve regional and local differences as far as possible" (1986).
