Includes text of the opening address from the first Symposium from Gavin Quinn and from Victor Merriman, who launched the first symposium. Both texts outline the reasoning and objectives for the symposium and general comments on Irish and European theatre. Also separate typescript document by the text of Quinn's lecture/address at the symposium and which has a title in manuscript of "Theatre - An Idiosyncratic Act, or A Product of Its Environment". Manuscript draft notes of same by Quinn also present.
File also includes transcripts for symposium events: 1) Leszek Madzik, Scena Plastyczna 1997; Panel Discussion 1998; Peter McAllister and Patrick Sutton 1999.
