Scope and content

Draft statement of John Wilson Lynch before the Privy Council, objecting to the erection of a labourer's cottage on the lands of Clover Farm which he owns, and leases to Col. Graham. He states that a previous attempt to build cottages there had been stopped, and that he had not been informed of this application until Col Graham received an order. He also writes that there is no need for a cottage in the townland. He states at the end that he is opposed to labourers' cottages as there would be no money in the Poor Law Union if there was another potato famine.
