Deed of release (No 59), James Cuffe of Creagh, Co Mayo only son and heir of Gregory Cuffe (1), Rt Hon Lady Henrietta Daly, widow (2), James Daly of Dunsandle, Co Galway (3), releasing Daly lands in Co Galway and Co Mayo from a mortgage of £1,000. This money was lent to Lady Henrietta Daly by Gregory Cuffe of Creagh, [Ballinrobe], Co Mayo by deed of release, dated 25 July 1785 and under the terms of her marriage settlement with Denis Daly, dated 6 Aug 1780. Barry [Maxwell, 1st] Earl of Farnham and Henry [Maxwell Bishop of Meath were trustees of the marriage settlement after its solemnization. Richard Livesay, solicitor. Includes note that this deed was referred to in an affidavit of William R C Richardson in relation to a case in the High Court of Justice, Chancery Division, David R Fair, owner, National Bank, petitioner, (1 Dec 1902).
