              Files relating to the World Archaeological Congress and Union Internationale Des Sciences Préhistoriques et Protohistoriques. includes correspondence between Rynne and members of the Association, regarding the constitution and work of the association, the planning of its conferences, minutes and agenda of meetings. There is reference to this conference having being held in Dublin in September 1989. Correspondence (in File 1) also between Etienne Rynne and Kader Asmal of the Irish Anti-Apartheid Movement (14 May 1989) discussing the decision to let members from South Africa attend the world congress in Dublin owing to the ongoing Apartheid regime in South Africa; and also letters between Rynne and Prof. Nurhan Atasoy, University of Istanbul, Turkey and "the persecution of those of Turkish cultural background" and also on Turkish and Kurdish conflict.
