              Files relating to research by Etienne Rynne on the symbol of the swastika, its origins, meanings, usage, and context in history.
              File 1 - Includes letters between Etienne Rynne and various scholars and curators regarding the history and usage of the swastika symbol, such as with Prof. Owen Dudley-Edwards; Dr. Dorothy Watts, University of Queensland; Robert M. Chapple. Also a black and white photograph of an Icelandic ship in Dublin port, 1963, with bore the swastika symbol on its hull; Also includes other photographs and postcards with swastika symbols, also assorted press cuttings which relate to articles on swastikas.
              Files 2 - 4 include assorted research material, articles, press cuttings etc. which feature or comment on the use of the swastika.
              Files 4 - 6 refer to research for a published academic article by Etienne Rynne, "The Ennis Swastika - Symbol of Resurrection?". Includes photographs of objects in Ireland (and Clare) which feature the swastika symbol and also manuscript research notes by Rynne in researching his article.

              Printed transcripts from events and panel discussions as part of the Pan Pan International Theatre Symposium.
              Includes text of the opening address from the first Symposium from Gavin Quinn and from Victor Merriman, who launched the first symposium. Both texts outline the reasoning and objectives for the symposium and general comments on Irish and European theatre. Also separate typescript document by the text of Quinn's lecture/address at the symposium and which has a title in manuscript of "Theatre - An Idiosyncratic Act, or A Product of Its Environment". Manuscript draft notes of same by Quinn also present.
              File also includes transcripts for symposium events: 1) Leszek Madzik, Scena Plastyczna 1997; Panel Discussion 1998; Peter McAllister and Patrick Sutton 1999. Also hardback notebook with signatures of guests at the Brochure Launch of the 4th Dublin International Theatre Symposium, Dec 2000, at the Riverclub, Merchant's Archive.               File also includes a file of letters between Pan Pan and Office of the Secretary to the President of Ireland, Áras an Uachtaráin, Dublin, discussing details and logistics of the invitation made to (and which was accepted by) President of Ireland, Mary McAleese, to open the 3rd Pan Pan International Theatre Symposium at Trinity College Dublin, which took place on 11 January 1999.
