              Letters regarding the transfer agreement made between NUI Galway (NUIG) and John McGahern on the deposit of his archive at NUIG. Letters from Iognáid (Iggy) G. Ó Muircheartaigh, President of NUI Galway, James J. Browe (later President of NUI Galway), Marie Reddan, University Librarian, Seamus O'Grady, NUI Galway to John and to Madeline McGahern. Letters discuss sums paid for the archive, contents of the archive to be transferred to NUIG, valuation of the archive and the reappointment of John McGahern as an Adjunct Professor in the Centre for Irish Studies at NUIG (2004-2007). Letters also discuss with Madeline McGahern her concerns around certain matters of archive such as copyright etc. Also list of items within the archive to be queried with cataloguing archivist.
