World premiere production was held at the Town Hall Theatre, Galway 29th June – 30th July 2005 with later tour to the Olympia Theatre, Dublin 2nd August – 20th August; King’s Theatre, Edinburgh as part of the Edinburgh International Festival 27th August – 3rd September; Dun Chonchuir & Halla Naomh Eoin, Inis Meáin, Aran Islands, Co. Galway 7th – 11th of September.
Includes a 'confidential' briefing document sent from Garry Hynes to Paddy Woodworth and Victoria White (both journalists) with details of the announcement for the projects "A Story Told Forever", working title for DruidSynge series and "The McDonagh Trilogy". A draft press release prepared by Druid entitled "A Story Told Forever - The Plays of J.M. Synge". The document outlines the plans to stage all of Synge's plays and to hold the first production on Inis Meáin in May 1998 to coincide with the centenary of Synge's first visit to Ireland, before touring Ireland and internationally.
