              Files relating to medieval banquet performance scripts, music, and performances held at Dunguaire Castle, Co. Galway, written by Carolyn Swift.

              File 1 and 2 include handwritten drafts and notes written for the scripts by Carolyn Swift, and also annotated and final typed script written by Swift and entitled "A Celebration of the Saints and Sinners, Scholars and Songmakers of South Galway".

              File 3 includes research material used by Swift in writing the script, such as history of Dunguaire Castle (with printed brochure) and research material about local historical figures of south Galway.

              Files 4 and 5 include letters and correspondence between Swift, Barry Cassin (who directed the performances) and staff at Shannon Free Airport Development Co. Ltd., who commissioned the scripts, discussing edits and revisions to the work, the staging and production, audience reaction, discussion of negative reviews received in the Irish Press, fees and royalties owed to Swift, and related points from the writing, development and production of the performance at Dunguaire Castle. File 5 includes black and white photo prints taken at medieval banquet events at Dunguaire Castle and printed flyers advertising medieval banquets at various castles in the Shannon Region.

              Files (4) of typed production scripts for episodes of Down At Flannerys. Includes cast listings and full script of episodes/instalments for instalment 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, with other untitled scripts from the series.
              ‘Down at Flannery’s’ was an RTÉ light entertainment production, which combined ballad singing and traditional music with the day to day happenings in a fictional Irish village, Ballybeckett. It was first screened on 10 July 1963, written by Carolyn Swift and produced by Bill Skinner, and starred among the cast, Lelia Doolan.
