Material in this subsubseries relates to Mary Robinson (MR)'s campaign trail as presidential candidate, including correspondence and schedules for her visits to communities across the country, press releases relating to her nomination and the opening of her campaign headquarters, campaign committee minutes, offers of assistance from volunteer canvassers, strategy documents, background information and research material, and draft publicity material.

This subseries consists of material relating to visits by Mary Robinson (MR) abroad and to Northern Ireland, both as Head of State and in her private capacity, as well as incoming visits by Foreign Heads of State and other dignitaries. It does not include visits within Ireland by President Robinson, which can be found in P143/4/12. This subseries is further divided into a single file consisting of Government correspondence relating to MR's visits in 1991 and 1992 in general terms (P143/5/1), a subsubseries relating to incoming visits to Ireland by others (P143/5/2) and a subsubseries relating to MR's visits abroad (P143/5/3), arranged chronologically by year. Material includes briefing documentation, programmes, invitations, press material and correspondence.
