Report authored by Markus Casey for Sheila Kelly. Casey was commissioned to inspect a site just south of the town of Craughwell where Kelly proposed to build a house and associated septic services. Casey found a well-preserved fulacht fiadh (Bronze Age cooking place) as well as a levelled platform that may be the remains of a levelled ringfort.
Includes:
-the completed report (1 May 2003, 9pp);
-copy of the letter sent to Kelly by Galway County Council requesting the archaeological assessment alongside other requirements before a decision can be made on proceeding with construction (29 January 2003; 1p);
-2 maps showing the site location (27 November 2002, 2pp);
-computer printouts of 6 colour photographs of the site (5pp).
