File 1 includes programmes from "Waiting for Godot" by Samuel Beckett, produced at the Pike Theatre, produced and lighting directed by Alan Simpson, assisted by/assistant producer Carolyn Swift; programme from Irish touring production of the play by the Pike Theatre; Programme from Pike production of Godot at the Gate Theatre with Longford Productions (12 - 17 March 1956).

Programmes from original Pike Theatre Dublin production of "The Quare Fellow" by Brendan Behan, produced by Alan Simpson, with assistant producer Carolyn Swift.
