File of correspondence between Martin McDonagh and Druid Theatre Company. Includes TS letter of submission from McDonagh; "Dear Anne [Butler], I would be most grateful if you would consider the attached script, entitled "Leenane Dust", for the Druid Theatre Company." Also makes reference to previously submitted play-script, "A Skull in Connemara" (11 Jan 1994); MS note and 'Thank You' card from McDonagh to Anne [Butler], saying he will be in Galway over the summer if a meeting needs to be arranged. (May 1995); Script assessment reports from Keith Hopper and from Ann O'Dea on "The Skull in Connemara", though which seems to be in fact "The Lonesome West" (Feb - Mar 1995); Letter from McDonagh to Druid, submitting a playscript "The Skull in Connemara" and adding "I feel that this play might be ideal material for the Druid Theatre . . ." (23 Sept 1994); Script assessment reports from Ann O'Dea, 'MPK' and other for "Leenane Dust" (This play did become known as "A Skull in Connemara" (Feb - Apr 1995). Letter from McDonagh to Ann Butler at Druid, seeking any updates on considerations on his previously submitted plays which were overdue a response. He indicates the urgency is due to the fact he has a third playscript finished entitled "The Beauty Queen of Leenane". Butler advises him to send it to Druid if he wishes. Script assessment report from unnamed reader for "The Beauty Queen of Leenane" and also a report by Keith Hopper for "The Lieutenant of Inishmore" (Feb 1995) Letters from Garry Hynes to Mick Lally and also to Marie Mullen and Sean McGinley, detailing arrangements for an in-house reading of McDonagh's plays "The Beauty Queen of Leenane" and "Leenane Dust" (19 Jun 1995)
