Handwritten letter to Robinson from Tomás [ ] from the Royal Irish Academy on the origin of the word 'pampúta / pampootie' and its use on the Aran Islands, encloses a photocopied page from an article written by T S Ó Máille. Letter and photocopy are in Irish. (11 Feb 1991) 2pp;
Four letters with enclosures to Robinson from Diarmuid [Breathnach], on the writer's plans for a 4th and 5th volume of 'Beathaisnéis', to include an English language version. The first two letters are in English, and were posted together (9-10 Mar 1994). These letters enclose a draft Irish language biography of Micheál Ó Maoláin intended for publication in 'Beathaisnéis'. A subsequent letter to Robinson from Breathnach gives more information on Ó Maoláin, and also mentions Maggie Dirrane. Enclosed with the letter is an Irish language biography of David O'Callaghan, a school teacher on Inis Meáin between 1880 and 1884 who got into trouble for not punishing his pupils for speaking Irish. Robinson requests his opinion on the placenames classification scheme he plans to use on the Burren map, and subsequent correspondence discusses the matter in detail. Correspondence between Oliver Lloyd of the University of Bristol Speleological Society and Robinson. Lloyd is writing a paper, and wishes to be consistent in the language of his placenames, so he seeks verification on the correct English spellings of Cathair, Mhaol and Bheag. Carbon copy of a detailed reply from Robinson explaining his approach is contrary to the anglicisation of Irish placenames. Subsequent correspondence discusses the Irish Whitebeam.

Correspondence between Paul Walsh of the Archaeological Branch of the Ordnance Survey and Tim Robinson. Walsh writes seeking information from Robinson on possible pre-historic burial structures on Slieve Carran, and encloses a photocopied article by the Burren Wildlife Foundation. Copy reply from Robinson who has found a reference to these structures in his diary from 1976. Two local sources believed them to be 19th century enclosures for storing cow dung. Letter from Walsh enclosing an offprint of an article he wrote with Carleton Jones a 'Recent Discoveries on Roughaun Hill, county Clare'.
