              The photographs are black and white, and have been taken mostly outside in the garden, in the sunshine.

              The photographs date from mostly around 1940, so in the years following the death of M M O'Shaughnessy.

              Specified locations include Mill Valley, California, and Treasure Island, San Francisco, but they appear mostly to have been taken in the O'Shaughnessy family home.
