The draughtsman, Mr [Shired] has not kept to the agreement, and O'Brien writes to O'Shaughnessy for his assistance.

Carbon copy list of 64 typed names, (presumably people registered to vote), with crosses next to some names. Typed statement issued by the Protective Committee (O'Shaughnessy is the first name on the list) "To the people of Mill Valley". (24 Jun 1897). States that voter fraud has taken place in an election for the office of School Trustee. The Protective Committee has been formed to prevent such from happening again. Handwritten letter to O'Shaughnessy from Emil Pohli (Attorney and Counsellor at Law, and also a member of the Protective Committee), in the case of O'Shaughnessy vs [McInnes**]. 29 Jul 1897. Encloses a statement of receipts and expenditures relating to the case. Statement is also included. A subsequent letter from Pohli is dated 23 Aug 1897 seeking an update on money to be paid for services rendered.
