Two handwritten notes on headed notepaper of the Office of Potrero Avenue Extension Commissioners. They are a letter introducing M M O'Shaughnessy, surveyor, to Mr [Simenthon], Carpenter at City Hall, and a cover note to O'Shaughnessy instructing him to meet Mr [Simenthon] to discuss furniture. The signatures are difficult to decipher, and may be of two different individuals.
Letter of recommendation from [ ] to [ ] for Pat Horan, a son of a tenant of the writer in [Mightownland]. States that he has not been involved in legal disputes or any trouble with the law in the last fifteen years.
Letter from Redmond Carroll, 49 Summer Hill, Dublin, to Thomas O'Conor Donelan, Sylane, assuring him that he will not be held liable for the bankruptcy of John Burke in the case of Touhy against Burke, as there would have to be a direct order. He states further that Mrs. Clarke admits that the £877.2.9 referred to is held in trust and not part of the assets of John Burke.
Draft notice of award in court of chancery referred to above. Also copy of same.
Copy of notice before the Court of Chancery in the case of Patrick Touhy & others against W J Burke & others. Notice is issued to Thomas and Eliza O'Conor Donelan, Eliza being one of the beneficiaries of the will of Elizabeth Martyn. They have fourteen days to respond to a charge being placed on the account following an award in the above case on the lands of Owenmore and Owenbeg.
