Copy of Inland Revenue form relating to the estate duty due on the property of William Daly of Dunsandle, who died on 27 Dec 1910. Includes copy statement of landed property in Cos Galway, Tipperary and Clare in connection with the Daly Settlement Trust, compiled by Richardson and Synnott, 31 Kildare St, Dublin, [solicitors]. The statement gives townland and tenant name, tenure, yearly rent, outgoings and encumbrances. Also a list of stocks and shares held in joint account, part of the settled estate. At the end of the statement a summary of the settled property shows that the stocks and shares, mainly invested in the railways, were valued at £180,142, the Galway and Clare estate at £47,046 and the Tipperary estate at £81,027. The encumbrances amounted to £10,786, so the capital value of the settled property was estimated at £297,460. William Daly’s settled estate, as joint owner with his brother, was calculated at £148,730. The total aggregation on which estate duty was due amounted to £234,967 at a rate of 11%, the sum of estate duty = £14,420, to be paid in 16 instalments of £901.
