Late seventeeth-century partial copy of the will of Sir Henry Lynch, Baronet. He commends his body to be buried in Our Lady’s Chapel in St. Nicholas’ Church in Galway. He gives over his lands on the Aran Islands and other properties as doweries for his daughters and gifts to other family members. Landed he purchased in Lidican go to his son Robuck, his son Morris receives land in Ballrobuck and other properties and he gives a bequest to establish the Guardians of the Poor Maidens of Galway. He provides other gifts and sums of money to his servants and relations. In a codicil he -provides the mortgage of £300 on the house of Sir Peter French to his son Morris as he has married his daughter Jennet, provided he compensates his brother Nicholas for it.

The properties amount to over 2000 acres, 10 castles and 12 fisheries. Noted that the intended feoffment to Nicholas Lynch was unexecuted by livery and seisin.
Lease between John King of Dublin, gent., and Ereawane mc Hew Buy Mc Edmond og mcHew of Lettermeallaine, Co, Galway. Hew Buy was killed in rebellion and his lands were granted to John King, who leases them to Ereaeane for a yearly rent of 13s. 4d.

For a certain sum they grant him all their rights in the Castle of Clowne Bowe and ‘the ninth part of a quarter’, in the Barony of Clare, Co. Galway.
Statement of James Tully of Galway, merchant, aged over 50 years outlining the agreement made between Alice Boork, Evelin Boork and Redmond buy McJonin the said Evelin’s husband on the first part, and Peter Blake and Nicholas Skerret of Galway on the other part relating to the lands of Caher McUlick, Mocharrha and Balle-Inhawlta in a deed dated 11 March 1593.

It is between the shop of Edmond Browne fitzEdward to the west and Walter and Perter Joice’s shop to the east, with a condition of redemption upon repayment.
