Articles written by Canon Hayes under the pseudonym Phil Lahy for The Landmark, Muintir na Tíre's monthly magazine. Many of the Lahy pieces were printed in a recurring column called 'Knocknagow Corner'. The Phil Lahy character was that of a married farmer who firmly supported Muintir na Tíre and spun humorous tales.
