Material covers Mary Robinson (MR)'s election to Seanad Éireann which followed the general election (18 June 1969). Ballots were received between 04 July and 12 August 1969, and term ran from 5 November 1969 - 30 March 1973. MR was one of three candidates elected from Dublin University [Trinity College Dublin] constituency and ran as an independent.

Material consists of correspondence and election address flyers of MR and other candidates.
