Correspondence between Canon Hayes and Éamon de Valera, December 1956. Includes:
-Draft of letter from Canon Hayes to de Valera thanking him for his kind words for the works of Muintir na Tíre at an agricultural science meeting at University College Dublin, and crediting de Valera for saving Muintir na Tíre from being destroyed in its early years by legal councils (11 December 1956, 1p);
-Letter from de Valera to Canon Hayes thanking him for his letter. He states that 'As the years go by I am more and more convinced that parish organisation in the rural areas is vital to the well-being of the community as a whole' and reminds Canon Hayes to push the use of Irish with Muintir na Tíre's branches (14 December 1956, 1p).

Material relating to Eamon N Kelly [Nicky Kelly] v Ireland case, arranged across two files. Eamon Kelly (more commonly known as Nicky Kelly) was alleged to have taken part in the 1976 Sallins Train Robbery, was tortured in custody and after evidence cast doubt on his conviction was eventually given a Presidential pardon.
