Correspondence received by Canon Hayes between October 1956 and January 1957. The correspondence includes numerous invitations to give lectures and write articles, Muintir na Tíre organisational correspondence, correspondence regarding rural Irish industrial development, correspondence with clergy and convents, correspondence with irish expatriates, requests from parishioners, and greetings and well-wishes on his illness and operation. Canon Hayes passed away on 30 January 1957 following his operation.

File of letters detailing an incident of injury sustained by musician Frankie Gavin during performance at an event held at Leisureland, Salthill, Galway on 7 Feb 1991. Letters are between Music for Galway, their Chairman Jane O'Leary and Hibernian Insurance, Eyre Street, Galway, O'Connor and Co. Solicitors, Salthill, Galway. Issues discussed in the letters include acceptance of liability, a detailed report on the incident and other related matters.

Handwritten letter from Pádraig Audley to Robinson enclosing a photocopied grid map, on which he has outlined the boundary of Knock-Spiddal Parish to the west of the Crimlin River. Correspondence between Professor Brian McNicholl and Robinson, beginning with a handwritten letter from McNicholl who is contacting Robinson about a town called Pontoy or Pomoy which appears on historic maps he has seen, but which he cannot identify. Copy reply from Robinson who has wondered about the same placename, but has not established its modern name. He asks if it is possible to obtain photographs of these sections of the maps. A reply from McNicholl discusses the matter further, and encloses photographs of sections taken from the following historic maps. Baptista Boazio's Map of Ireland (1599), O'Donovan's map of Connemara, John Speede's map of the Province of Connaught (1610), Ortelius Map of Ireland (1573), Mercator Map of Ireland (1595). A note enclosing a photocopied article by Jane Conroy 'Galway Bay, Louis XIV's navy and the "little bougard"' (published 1997). The article describes and shows French hydrographical charts of Galway Bay and Aran. A third party letter from John Andrews to Gibbons comments on the Zalterius map and its similarity to the version of Ireland in Mercator's map of Europe. It includes circulars from the Irish Tourist Board relating to the role of theatre in the events, as well as correspondence with Galway Corporation who are organising events locally. In a copy letter from Maírín Nic Alasdair to Cecil ffrench-Salkeld, Tóstal House, Mount St. Crescent, Baile Átha Cliath, stating that the Board of Directors had agreed to holding a drama festival, and asked what the Tostal organisers were doing in relation to prizes [in both Irish and English].

Correspondence between Robinson and Roger Jones, on the subject of a BBC Natural History programme called 'Wild Britain'. A handwritten letter from Jones (undated) asks Robinson for locations of exposed glacial erratics, locations where seaweed and sand on limestone are visible, and locations of shell middens close to the sea suitable for filming. Carbon copy of Robinson's reply (18 Jul 1984) recommending locations and a final letter from Jones (22 Aug 1984) thanking him and including some anecdotes about the filming. 5pp;
