The first 3 subsections relate to him as a member of the Land Corporation of Ireland, as a director of the Galway Steam Boat Company and as the executor of his nephew Eddie Stapleton. In 1910 he refused to become the Lieutenant of Co. Clare and the subsection entitled other letters refers to local events and matters, such as the holding of the Galway Races.
