Copy will of Thomas Ormsby of Ballinamore, wish to be buried in Sligna beside his father, mention of his stepbrothers Anthony and John Yeardon Ormsby and his 'ever dear stepmother Anne'; his cousins Owen, Jane and Maria Phibbs of Merrion Square, Dublin; George Ormsby of Castle Lucas, Thomas Ormsby of Knockmore, William Phibbs; three sons of his uncle Peter Ormsby, Thomas, Owen Lloyd and Anthony Ormsby; John Walsh of Cor[nfaus]. Witnesses to true copy John Ormsby, John Yeardon Lloyd.

Sligo and of Dublin, mentions his wife Dorothy, his daughter Rebecca married to Richard Wood, a doctor, his other children John, George in army, Thomas, Dorothy and Hannah; niece Ann Mathew, daughter of his sister Ann Mathew, widow. A number of leases are mentioned. his wife is executor. Witnesses Charles Wood, James Garden and Patt. Donnelly.

One codicil in which he mentions his illegitimate children, his goddaughter Marcella Liversay, his servants and the poor housekeepers in Ballinrobe and Hollymount. Executor his son Robert. Witnesses Edmund Burton, Christopher Bowen, Anthony Gildea, John Ashe. Proved, 17 Sept 1805.

Photocopy of the will and six subsequent codicils written by Denis John Charles Kirwan Bernard of Castlehackett between 1943 and 1956, giving bequests to the Rifleman’s Aid Society, Royal Ulster Rifles Association, and various family members. His final codicil demises his property to his sister’s son, Percy John Paley.
