Large, framed colour photograph from Mary Robinson (MR)'s inauguration as President of Ireland (04/12/1990) which appeared in Cork Examiner, and which was presented to MR at St Patrick's Cathedral during performance of Handel's "Messiah" by The Culwick Choral Society, 12/12/1990. Photo is of MR in purple jacket standing surrounded by attendees including Taoiseach Mr Charles Haughey, Attorney General Mr John Murray S.C. [Special Counsel], outgoing President Dr Patrick Hillery, and former Taoisigh [plural of Taoiseach, Ireland's equivalent of Prime Minister] Mr Liam Cosgrave, Dr Garret Fitzgerald and Mr Jack Lynch, all dressed in dark jacket and waistcoat, silver grey ties and white shirts. Photographer was Des Barry.
