Copy of the statement given by Mons. Patrick Browne, then President of University College Galway, to the Bureau of Military History 1913 -1921 on his personal experiences from that time. His statement includes references to his friendship with Seán McDermott (one of the signatories of the Proclamation of the Irish Republic in 1916).
