File 1 - Includes letters between Etienne Rynne and various scholars and curators regarding the history and usage of the swastika symbol, such as with Prof. Owen Dudley-Edwards; Dr. Dorothy Watts, University of Queensland; Robert M. Chapple. Also a black and white photograph of an Icelandic ship in Dublin port, 1963, with bore the swastika symbol on its hull; Also includes other photographs and postcards with swastika symbols, also assorted press cuttings which relate to articles on swastikas.
Files 2 - 4 include assorted research material, articles, press cuttings etc. which feature or comment on the use of the swastika.
Files 4 - 6 refer to research for a published academic article by Etienne Rynne, "The Ennis Swastika - Symbol of Resurrection?". Includes photographs of objects in Ireland (and Clare) which feature the swastika symbol and also manuscript research notes by Rynne in researching his article.
