The paper is available publicly at https://pubs.er.usgs.gov/publication/pp38 The area was studied on account of its geological structure and the peculiar relations of its ore deposits.

Gives his record during the War of Independence, including his escape from Sligo Jail in June 1920, and recapture by the Black and Tans at Moylough, Tubbercurry in November 1920, and an attempt to escape in Glasgow in May 1921. “Baby of the Second Dáil!” when elected TD for East Mayo and Sligo in June 1921, and served through nine general elections. Member for Sligo County Council, 1920-1934. He was called to the Bar, King’s Inn, Dublin in 1936.
