Files relating to the writing, editing, and publication of Carolyn Swift's contribution to the Dance Encyclopedia of Ireland. Swift's chapter was titled "Dance in Ireland 1900 - 2000".
File 1 includes correspondence between Swift and the editors and publishers of the book; letters with contracts and agreements about Swift's writing for the book, comments and edits during the drafting process; manuscript research notes by Swift, and general correspondence about writing of the piece.

In 1907 following the death of Adeline Ormsby in Plymouth (see LE40/428), George Ormsby came into the possession of some old documents and a series of letters which had belonged to Adam Ormsby of the Cummin family and the father of Adeline, George Ormsby left all these Cummin papers and his own personal papers to his nephew Gerald Ormsby of Canada when he died and in this way they became linked up with the Ballinamore collection. It contains one deed, three appointments and 47 papers.
