The original Broadway production opened in the Cort Theatre, New York on 20th November 1957, ran for 189 performances, and was nominated for Tony Best Play award (New York City) in 1958. Siobhán picked up a Best Actress nomination for her role as Margaret Hyland, which she also played in "Play of the Week" T.V. production, first aired on 14th March 1960.
