Two letters from AW Hazell, relating to income tax on annuities paid to John Wilson Lynch's sisters and to Pat McMahon's gale days. He asks John Wilson Lynch to send the map and Poor Law valuation of the Duras estate as he wants to walk some of the Aughinish holdings for his own information. Includes two lists of annuity arrears paid to Misses Fanny, Eliza and Mary Jane Lynch from June to July 1895 to Feb and Apr 1898. One list was written on the back of a printed agenda paper of the first quarterly meeting of [Clare] County council, ending 1 July 1899.
Letter from AW Hazell enclosing the results of seventeen cases heard. He states that the rents have dropped from £257.1.0 to £187.11.0. He recommends that he appeal the decisions, and states that if he goes down this road that he will have to hire a valuer to give evidence for his appeal.
Letter from AW Hazell, thanking him for the map and the Poor Law Valuation for the Duras estate. Je reports on the outcome of the case with Mary Grady, and notes that the only cases outstanding are those relating to the two Stephens holdings.

Copy of letter from John Wilson Lynch, Belvoir, to the Court Valuers, Messrs Haughton and Shaughnessy, McCarthy's Hotel, Cecil St., Limerick, appealing them to postpone their valuation of two properties they inspected the previous Friday because of their saturated state due to heavy rain. He also refers to Michael Liddane's attempt to 'blacken mu character' over his turbary rights.
Letter from AW Hazell, stating that he hopes John Wilson Lynch will not ask him to attend the appeals at Limerick. He is sorry he has a cold. In a postscript he asks will he settle with Thomas Mooney, Knockaculleen for £9.10, whose yearly rent is £11 and Poor Law Valuation £8.15.
