Material relating to group visits by Law Students and staff from University of Dublin Trinity College (TCD) and University Colleges Galway (UCG), Cork (UCC) and Dublin (UCD), to EEC [European Economic Community] institutions in Brussels, Luxembourg, Strasbourg, and Paris, March 1986. Mary Robinson (MR) was group leader for TCD, and overall organiser, with lecturers Finbarr Murphy, Vincent Power and Pauline O'Reilly acting as group leaders for UCD, UCC and UCG, respectively. Material includes itineraries, group insurance details, costings and other handwritten notes, lists of participating students and correspondence. Correspondence includes that between MR and Finbarr Murphy which included forwarded correspondence from Malachy Vallely, Executive Director, Irish Institute for European Affairs, Louvain, Belgium, 14/05/1985-13/11/1985; correspondence between MR and Ms Henny Stubbe, and Judge T O'Higgins, Court of Justice, Luxembourg, 06/11/1985-09/12/1985; correspondence with Mr Joe Fahy, European Parliament, Dublin, 19/11/1985-28/02/1986; correspondence with Leo Monahan and Ann McKiernan, Group and Educational travel (GEC), in relation to tour details, and to a series of thefts which took place in the Paris hotel on the last leg of visit leading to MR recommending GEC remove that hotel from their books, 22/11/1985-19/03/1986; correspondence with Mme Helene Dotchnoy, Directorate of Press and Information, Council of Europe, Strasbourg, 09/12/1985-30/01/1986 in relation to the visit including that Michael O'Boyle would give a talk to the students; official invitation to MR for group visit, from A Ferragni, Director-General for Information and Public Relations, European Parliament, 19/01/1986; correspondence from Sun Alliance in relation to insurance claim following thefts, 28-29/04/1986.
