Material relating to group visits by Law Students and staff from various Irish universities including University of Dublin Trinity College (TCD), to EEC [European Economic Community] institutions in Brussels, Luxembourg, Strasbourg, and Paris, annually every March from 1980 - 1985. Material includes itineraries, group insurance details, costings and other handwritten notes, lists of participating students and correspondence. Correspondence includes that between Mary Robinson (MR), as group leader from TCD, to Mr Joe Fahy, European Parliament, Dublin 2, in relation to making formal application for the students to visit European Parliament in Strasbourg, 16/11/1979-07/11/1985; that with Declan Boland and Leo Monahan, Group and Educational travel (GEC), in relation to tour details, 11/01/1980-21/03/1983; official invitations to MR for students to visit, from R Legrand-Lane, Director-General for Information and Public Relations, European Parliament, 13/02/1980, 11/02/1983; with Hon Judge Andreas O'Keeffe, Mr Michael Scott, and Ms Henny Stubbe, Court of Justice, Luxembourg, 15/02/1980-07/11/1985; correspondence with Michael O'Boyle, Human Rights Building, Council of Europe, Strasbourg, France, 13/01/1983-25/02/1983; correspondence with Bryan McMahon, Finbarr Murphy and Denny Driscoll, group leaders/staff at University College Dublin, University College Cork and University College Galway (UCG) respectively, outlining programme, 18/01/1983-11/01/1984; thank-you card to MR signed by participating students, 198[?]; letter from [T?]im Courtney, Claims Bureau, Sun Alliance Insurance Group, in relation to claim put in by student of UCG for theft during visit.
