Michael's mother Mary, had a central acting role in the film. Includes contract made between Mary Rynne and James M. Sullivan (producer) March 1917, detailing terms and conditions of Mary Rynne's role. Also extensive correspondence/letters to the press (Irish Times) by Michael Rynne, discussing the filming of "Knocknagow" and details around the film and his own role and that of his mother in the film. Also MS letters from Rynne to Liam O'Leary discussing his book "Cinema Ireland: 1895 - 1976" (Copy of book included). discussing aspects of the Film Company of Ireland"; Minutes of meeting of the Dublin Arts Festival meeting around an exhibition of Irish film, detailing the purpose and content of the proposed exhibition (1976).
