Early nineteenth century copy of lease between the Mayor and corporation of Galway and Edward Eyre. It recites a lease of 1670 between the corporation and Thomas Williams of Galway, merchant of a bowling green from the Great Gate leading onto Fort Hill at 11s. a year. His son, also Thomas, sold his interest to Edward Eyre and the Corporation renew the lease to him, to hold forever at a yearly rent of 11s.
