It includes handwritten statement by David Norris (DN), 06/06/1978, with cover letter to Mary Robinson (MR) referring to incidents of post to DN and to his alias "Alfred J O'Neill" being examined and items being confiscated, referenced in his application to European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), 198[7?]; correspondence between MR and John Jay (JJ), solicitor, and others, Herman Good Wine Stokes & Jay solicitors, in relation to [David] Norris v Ireland case at ECHR which includes correspondence with Herbert Petzold, Deputy Registrar and Marc-André Eissen, Registrar at ECHR, such as claim form for fees and expenses under a grant of legal aid, and material relating to costs following judgement 18/12/1987-29/12/1988; letter to DN from Gerry Whyte giving several points which might help case which he had raised at address he gave to Dublin University Law Society (Trinity College Dublin), 28/01/1988; correspondence between MR and Walter J Walsh, Debevoise and Plimpton [Law form, New York City, United States of America (USA) in relation to decisions in cases in USA which had a bearing on DN's case 25/11/1978-08/01/1988; letter from T Leacy, Assistant Secretary, UPTCS [Union of Professional And Technical Civil Servants] to Mr W Jestin, Principal, Legislation Branch, Department of Labour, 11/01/1988 with policy document attached from Irish Congress of Trade Unions "Lesbian and Gay Rights in the Workplace Guidelines for Negotiators" (06/1987); photocopy of typed address by Dr Rory O'Hanlon, Minister for Health, 25/02/1988, relating to all-party motion in Seanad [upper house in Irish Parliament] "That Seanad Éireann endorses the Government's Public Information and Education programme on Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome [AIDS] and requests them to further develop programmes with particular reference to IV drug users and school leavers"; correspondence between JJ, MR, DN and Eissen in relation to TV interview DN took part in on RTÉ [Raidió Teilifís Éireann, Irish public service broadcaster] programme "Last House" in 1975, including photocopies of press articles giving details of complaints received by RTÉ, 30/01-02/02/1976, 07/04/1988; letter from MR to Eissen listing Irish, European and USA cases to be cited by Counsel for Applicant in Norris v Ireland Oral Submissions for court, 21/04/1988; letter, and photocopies of same, from Peter E Smyth, Legal Division, Agent of the Government of Ireland to Herman Good, Wine Stokes & Jay referencing information they had sent in relation to the "Last House" TV interview, and attaching copy of a further Memorial of the Government of Ireland in reply to applicant's claims under Article 50 of ECHR, 21/04/1988; 2 copies of Council of Europe Information Department press release issued by Registrar of ECHR announcing hearing for DN case on 25/04/1988; letter from DN to MR ahead of ECHR judgement thanking her for all her efforts over the years, 17/08/1988; letter from Ailbhe Smyth [Irish academic, feminist and LGBTQ activist] to MR congratulating her on "the very significant Strasbourg judgement", 27/10/1988.
