Enclosing a press cutting, a notice to contractors on the subject of constructing water works in San Luis Obispo. Putnam and Ford are contacting O'Shaughnessy to advise him their business is currently excavating a reservoir for their city, and looking to expand into general contracting. They ask O'Shaughnessy to keep them in mind if he sees any chance of them bidding on work, and conclude "We would like to see you get in on the San Luis business". (30 July 1894). On headed paper.
