Advising the city council will meet the following day to take a vote on sewering the city and putting in water the electric plant similar to the work O'Shaughnessy has previously carried out in Mill Valley.

(22 Sep 1894 and 24 Sep 1894 with a 3rd party enclosure dated 24 Sep 1894, and a follow up letter on 29 Sep 1894). In the first, he is responding to a request from O'Shaughnessy for information on the [Los Puestos e Najalayegua Rancho] (The Black Sheep and Black Mare Ranch) about 10 miles from Santa Barbara, with a mountain chain 350ft high. He identifies small tracks of good land, information on the herds of cattle it sustains, its current assessed value per acre, and the water supply. His subsequent letter advises it is owned by a lady in England, and closes a letter he received from George [Culbedon] (24 Sep 1894) on the value of the ranch. In his final letter he states the low value of the land, and that there is a low grade Quicksilver Mine on it, and advising him not to invest much money in it.
