File of manuscript and typescript letters both to and from Michael Rynne following his retirement as Irish Ambassador to Spain. Rynne is now based back in Dublin. Letters include to Rynne from the Irish Consul in Barcelona, regarding an illuminated manuscript, the "Ultonia" manuscript (Fen 1964); Letter from Marie O'Kelly, Personal Secretary to the President of Ireland, Éamon de Valera, thanking Rynne for lending him a photograph of "an interesting event" taken in 1921 and "for helping him to recall and reconstruct the happenings of the morning of the 6th December, 1921.
