After referring to the health of his parents he continues "I hope please God, in the course of next month to bring Anne to see you and my mother. Tom is very well and going on very well at school ... will make every enquiry about the situation you want for Peter Phibbs ... I spoke to Whitelaw to speak to Lady Leitrim about Peter Phibbs and he promised he would ... My uncle and aunt are very well and Anne Phibbs etc. ..." There is also a brief mention of Anthony Phibbs and his half pay.
