A typescript, detailed, itinerary driven account of O'Shaughnessy's trip to the East Coast of the United States and Europe. Some diary style notes on his travelling companions (three of his daughters), followed by notes of statistics, budgets and other factors pertinent to the engineering projects he visited. Copies of some of the letters O'Shaughnessy wrote to his wife and daughter Helen are included. The passenger list of the S S Cedric from New York to Liverpool via Cobh is also included. Also a typed list of the foot count of various nations engaged in the European War from 1914-1918 (identically laid out to the document described in P135/10/1). At the end of the volume is a press cutting from the cover of the Daily Herald, which includes a photograph of M M O'Shaughnessy and his 3 daughters about to embark on their trip.
